Pilsner Urquell difference between US and it's country of origin.

There always has been a discussion if it is the same everywhere or where is it better? I have tried both. Pilsner Urquell in many places in the Czech Republic as well as in the UK, the USA, Italy, Spain, Ireland. We have a saying that final taste of beer always depende on the pub owner. How much care does he put into his place, how often does he clean pipes, what is his draft technique.

This means that even such a good beer like Pilsner Urquell could be damaged easily. Pub can never increase the quality of badly brewed beer but can definitely decrease the quality of a good beer. The same may happen anywhere in the world.

But still. Every beer will taste the best at the closest place of its origin. Every hour which beer spends travelling has negative impact on his taste. I have even heard that they add some chemicals to keep it "fresh" as long as possible. Beer must spend at least 3 weeks while being shipped to the USA.

My personal experience is clear. Pilsner Urquell tastes the best in the Czech Republic. My poorest experience is from Florida. But it was still way better than Bud. :)
